A global professional with extensive international experience and over 20 years in managing large programs and projects in financial inclusion, in developing and transition countries focused on digital financial services, branchless banking services, new business models, product and services development, monitor & evaluation services for both projects and MFIs, and business process management. Experience working in 18 countries across Latin America & the Caribbean, Africa, North America, and Europe, providing technical advice to introduce, implement and consolidate financial services in urban and rural areas. Raul is passionate about developing out-of-the-box solutions to improve the livelihoods of low-income households in developing countries and has worked on consulting assignments with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), USAID, Incofin, Triple Jump, BID-FOMIN, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Swisscontact, MasterCard Foundation, Microsoft Foundation, Weberg Trust, Citi Foundation, among others. He also actively participates in conferences, discussion forums, and other knowledge sharing and networking spaces to promote financial inclusion and digital financial services for serving the unbanked or underbanked by the traditional financial sector. Raul has a BSc. in Economics, postgraduate diploma in banking and finance, Master certificates in Business administration and Systems Design and Project Leadership. He speaks Spanish, English, French, and German.
