Amarante Consulting was proud to be part of the 28th Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress, held in Dubai from 8–19 September 2025 –  a landmark two-week gathering that brought together postal operators, regulators, and ministries from across the globe to shape the future of the international postal ecosystem.

Our senior Postal Sector Consultant & Thoughtleader, John Samuel and Sahana Arun Kumar, Partner at Amarante, attended the Congress, which featured deliberations on cross-border courier frameworks, tariff structures, and the inclusion of private sector players, alongside leadership elections for the UPU’s Council of Administration and top offices.

The event showcased the postal sector’s transformation from the launch of the first AI-powered agent for postal development and digital addressing solutions to the unveiling of the Emirates Post Group’s new “7X” identity, reflecting a new era of innovation, inclusion, and resilience in postal services.

Another standout moment of the Congress was the International Letter-Writing Competition, where over 1.5 million students participated globally, celebrating the power of communication and imagination that postal networks have long nurtured.

For Amarante, the Congress was a testament to the postal sector’s evolving role as a driver of connectivity, digital transformation, and inclusive growth ,exactly the values we champion across emerging markets.
