Elisa Villa

Elisa is a Senior Consultant with Amarante with more than 6 years of experience working in microfinance and financial inclusion. Her interest in economic and social development along with her background in banking and finance led her to pursue a master in Microfinance from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Her experience includes a wide range of projects, from technical assistance to MFIs in diagnoses, business models, market studies and design of organizational structures, to initiatives to improve the regulatory environment of the microfinance sector. Before joining Amarante, Elisa was working as a Financial Inclusion Consultant for the World Bank, based in Washington DC, managing TA projects in Colombia and Central America on financial education and inclusion. Elisa also holds a Masters´ in Business Administration and Management from the University of Navarra (IESE Undergraduate Business School). She speaks English and Spanish.
