John Samuel a Chartered Accountant, has held senior leadership positions in the Government of India, where he spearheaded major governance reforms. As Chief Post Master General and Member of the Postal Services Board, he modernized India Post and is celebrated as the architect of Speed Post, which he built and transformed since 1986. Internationally, he served as Consultant with the Universal Postal Union (UN) and as Course Director at APPU’s Asia Pacific Postal College, Bangkok, training leaders across 30+ countries. His advisory work with Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Ethiopia Posts drove significant postal system improvements.
Currently, John is Senior Consultant and Thought Leader with Amarante Consulting, focusing on postal transformation globally. He also heads Transform Consulting, advising on leadership, business strategy, and governance. An acclaimed trainer, coach, and speaker, he serves on ESAF Small Finance Bank’s Board, teaches fintech and leadership at SRM University, and champions youth empowerment through leadership forums.
